Design Inspiration: St. George Parade of Homes 2024
Every year, the St. George Parade of Homes features multiple homes in Southern Utah, all built and designed by local talented contractors, architects, designers, and vendors. As a team, we enjoyed the chance to tour these beautiful homes and be inspired by local artists and craftsmen. While it’s been some time since we viewed each home, there are multiple elements and details we keep thinking about!
Stunning Light Fixtures
Light fixtures can serve as an art piece that catches the eye as you walk in. Similar to accessories complementing and elevating an outfit, lights are the finishing touch that brings character to a space. We admired the variety of unique light fixtures in each home that often stood as statement pieces.

Mural & Patterned Wallpaper
Wallpaper is making a comeback, and we are here for it! We loved finding wallpaper not only in smaller spaces like bathrooms and laundry rooms but also in entryways, dining rooms, and bedrooms. With a wide range of colors, patterns, and textures available, wallpaper offers endless possibilities to bring a unique sense of style and creativity.

Playful Colors
We are excited to see the design industry pivot from all white/neutral spaces. While they are appropriate in some environments, we love embracing color! We found pops of color especially in the children’s bunk rooms, a perfect place to incorporate playful color schemes.

Eye-catching Hallways
Who said hallways have to lack detail? Some of our favorite moments in the Parade this year were hallways. The eye-catching sconces, art, millwork, windows, and curved details elevated these areas into stunning walkways.

Accent Walls
Accent walls create visual interest and depth. With the ability to add character and dimension to any room, they are a great way to make a statement. They also establish the overall style and feel of the space. We enjoyed seeing a variety of accent walls including wood paneling, wallpaper, and fluted plaster.

Checkered Flooring
Checkered flooring has served as a classic design choice for centuries with its timeless charm. The contrasting colors and geometric layout create a sense of movement and rhythm that can complement multiple design styles. As a studio that strives to implement ageless design elements, checkered flooring will always remain a favorite.
